Labour relations

Sérvulo offers a complete and comprehensive service in this area, particularly as regards the preparation and implementation of all measures relating to the management of labour relations within organisations. These include:

selection of appropriate contract models for both new and outsourced employees
organisation of working hours
setting out of payment and fringe benefit policies
support for drawing up internal regulations, staff manuals and service orders on a range of issues
disciplinary procedures

Company Restructuring
This is an area the Sérvulo team is regularly involved in, given the implications that company restructuring processes have for labour relations. Of particular relevance here is the monitoring of processes involving the transmission of economic units and the procedures inherent in any resizing and changing of the workforce (for instance, collective laying off). We also provide oversight for procedures relating to the change and standardisation of working conditions that often follows the restructuring of organisations.

Collective Bargaining
In this very specific area, Sérvulo has worked on a number of collective bargaining projects. We advise clients on all phases of the process, from the drawing up of the collective agreement specifications and the negotiation of these to the monitoring of conciliation, mediation and arbitration processes.

Public Employment
Sérvulo has also been significantly involved in this practice area. We have acquired extensive experience of both the special legal framework governing public employment and the general rules of public service employment contracts.

Social Security and Pensions
Sérvulo has extensive experience in the field of public social security schemes and has acquired a comprehensive understanding of the framework resulting from the reform of the contributory social security scheme. In addition, we have been active in the spheres of supplementary social security schemes and all aspects of pension funds. Sérvulo assists its clients in developing retirement plans, in negotiating these plans with trade union bodies and in the development of processes for transforming fixed benefit plans into fixed contribution plans.
