In specific terms, Sérvulo oversees, from the very first steps, the expansion in Portugal of public-private partnerships under BOT (build, operate, transfer) schemes, particularly in the areas of transportation and health infrastructures. More recently, Sérvulo has also been involved in a number of energy projects, in the renewable energy, water and electricity sectors.

In this area, Sérvulo provides assistance to public, private, domestic and international entities. Our services are designed to support the launching, discussion and initial negotiation stages of projects as well as the execution stage.  This latter may include such issues as negotiations of amendments or financial rebalancing, or even pre-litigation and arbitration proceedings.

Working either on its own or in collaboration with reputable international law firms, Sérvulo has also provided legal assistance in the acquisition and sale of project-related assets and shares. It has worked on both the buyer and seller sides, obtaining the necessary permits from both public entities and financing banks, negotiating purchase and sale contracts and conducting, when necessary, the corresponding due diligence.
