2009 edition of  "Chambers Legal - the World's Leading Lawyers for business" ranked Sérvulo in Band 3 in two of the four researched practice areas. Corporate/ M&A and Dispute Resolution are representing Sérvulo's continous commitment to excelence.

Corporate/M&A
This compact corporate team has continued to take solid steps towards gaining a firm foothold in the market over the past year, considerably raising its profile by advising Enercon on the biggest public tender process in Portugal. The firm is also retained on a continuous basis by RTP, the Portuguese state TV broadcasting company, and advised it on the restructuring of the RTP group, including the merger of several of the existing group companies into the company SGPS. Peers note that Fernando Ferreira Pinto is a “tremendous and skilled professional,” and experienced lawyer and executive partner António Teles attracts praise for his “classic, traditional approach and excellent transactional abilities.”

Dispute resolution

Sérvulo maintains Public Law leadership in Chambers ranking

Chambers Europe announced today its  European legal markets annual ranking nominations in of, which Sérvulo & Associados continues to be recognized  as one of the most prestigious firms to work with in Portugal. Sérvulo & Associados was nominated Tier 1 in Public Law, reinforcing it presence in other practice areas, as Employment, Tier 2, Energy, Human Resources and Corporate /M&A in Tier 3 and Dispute Resolution and TMT, Tier 4.

In individual rankings terms, Sérvulo has 11 of its lawyers referred in different practice areas, being José Manuel Sérvulo Correia, considered a “star performer” in Public Law.

Sérvulo maintains Public Law leadership in Chambers ranking
Legal 500 recommends Sérvulo in nine areas of practice

Sérvulo, presently positioned as a multidisciplinary boutique, is recommended in nine areas of practice by the British directory "LEGAL 500", in its 2008 edition for Europe, Middle East and Africa. These references are made on basis of the analysis of the performance of the law firms in 2007 and, therefore, do not reflect the potentialities resulting from the merger between Sérvulo Correia & Associados and Ferreira Pinto & Associados occurred in the beginning of 2008, indicating the performance of both law firms prior to the merger.

Sérvulo & Associados is referenced in first place in the area of Public Law, and is also recommended in the areas of Corporate and M&A, Capital Markets, Banking and Financial Law, Dispute Resolution, Employment Law, Project Finance, TMT.

The attention is presently focused on the performance of the law firm in 2008, which is the first year of activity after the merger. In this context, emphasis is made on the creation, in the beginning of the year, of the Nucleus of European Law and Competition, headed by Miguel-Gorjão-Henriques. By the end of April, Sérvulo will announce the restructuring of the Nucleus of Financial Law, as part of its consolidation as a multidisciplinary boutique.
