Maria Miguel Carvalho joins Sérvulo’s TMT team

Maria Miguel Carvalho has joined the intellectual property, data protection and TMT team at Sérvulo & Associados. Joining as associate, she has also worked in the legal departments of Galp and EDP, focusing on project management and on matters related to privacy, cybersecurity, risk assessment and data governance.
She also practised at CMS Portugal between 2018 and 2021 and, more recently, at Broseta Abogados in Madrid, where she provided specialised legal advice on marketing campaigns, with a particular focus on personal data protection, the negotiation of data processing agreements, compliance with the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the legal framework for projects based on artificial intelligence.
Maria Miguel Carvalho holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the Portuguese Catholic University, an LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Technology from Queen Mary University of London, and a postgraduate qualification in Data Protection from NOVA School of Law.
