João Amaral e Almeida participates in VII Brazilian Congress on Bids, Contracts and Government Procurement

SÉRVULO partner João Amaral e Almeida, who is also a lecturer at the Law Faculty of the Portuguese Catholic University and a specialist in public procurement, was invited to chair one of the sessions of the VII Brazilian Congress on Bids, Contracts and Government Procurement, which took place in São Salvador da Bahia, August 17-19, 2011.

The session, which João Amaral e Almeida chaired, was on the theme of “Bids as an instrument of the government and of economic regulation”. This is the first time that a Portuguese national chairs a session at this important congress, which every year brings together, among its about 1,000 participants, players from both the public and private spheres in Brazil interested in debating the Brazilian public procurement system.
