João Amaral e Almeida participates in conference in Brazil

João Amaral e Almeida, who is a partner at SÉRVULO, as well as being a specialist lawyer in public procurement and a lecturer at the Law Faculty of the Portuguese Catholic University, participates in the VIII Brazilian Congress on Bids, Contracts and Government Procurement, which takes place in Salvador da Bahia, on August 15-17, 2012.

Mr Amaral e Almeida presents a paper on “The rules of RDC on criteria for judging proposals: a new vision from the European experience”. RDC is the new Brazilian public procurement law dedicated to contracts and acquisitions of goods and services necessary for the execution of works for the 2014 World Cup and the Olympic Games in 2016.

This is the first time that a Portuguese jurist speaks at this important conference which each year brings together about 1,000 public and private players with the aim of debating the Brazilian public procurement system.
