Marketing & Branding Debate at Catholic University


On March 7th, Legal Management Network (LMN) – Portugal invited the top leaders in Marketing and Communication from BES and EDP, a Spanish Law Firm and a respected Lawyer who recently founded a Portuguese Firm, to share their experience and know-how in developing and managing brand strategy at the Catholic University of Portugal.

The speakers attending the event were  Rita Torres Baptista - Director and Coordinator of the Marketing and Communication Department of Banco Espírito Santo, Filipa Roquette - Coordinator of the Brand Management Department of EDP, Rosana Rumschisky - Marketing and Business Development Director of Gomez-Acebo & Pombo Abogados, Rogério Fernandes Ferreira, Lawyer and Founding Partner of RFF & Associados and opening the debate, Maria Roquette Cardoso, Founding Member of LMN-Portugal and Marketing and Communication Director of SÉRVULO.

The panel, consisting of experienced professionals, covered and addressed a range of matters such as the building process of a brand, the management of branding campaigns, the importance of managing reputation and the specificity of legal brands. The meeting was oriented for communication and marketing professionals, lawyers and law firm managers and ended with a debate where the speakers and the audience shared their thoughts on branding.

This is the second forum organised by LMN-Portugal, a group of experts in the areas of Marketing, Communication and Business Development that dedicate their work exclusively to professional management in the field of the legal profession in Portugal.The first forum happened last September and focused on Internal Communication of a law firm: the importance of motivating a work team and its impact on generating business for the firm.

Founded in 2012 the LMN – Portugal is a network of professionals involved in the management of law firms, particularly in the areas of communication, marketing and business development, who share ideas, knowledge and experience and who are able to observe and disseminate the main trends of legal management. As the active branch of ASAP -Association of Portuguese Law Firms (Associação das Sociedades de Advogados de Portugal), which covers matters regarding communication and marketing, LMN– Portugal’s motto is Communication and Marketing in the Service of Innovation. It aims to promote law firm management contributing to professionalization and providing services, increasing quality levels.
