Marta Salgado Areias interviewed by Notícias ao Minuto

SÉRVULO IN THE PRESS 07 Mar 2016 in Notícias ao Minuto

The Portuguese news site Notícias ao Minuto published a report on the new Personal Data Protection Regulation, which was approved on December 18, 2015, and which will soon enter into force in Portugal.

Marta Salgado Areias, associate at SÉRVULO, was interviewed as a specialist in the area, and explains that “the new regulation, on the one hand strengthens the rights of the holder of the data, namely the individual whom the information being handled regards, and, on the other hand, it lightens the bureaucracy and costs with which companies are faced and that implies the obligation of acting in accordance with the legislation of each EU Member State in which companies operate”.
