Patrícia Akester takes part in the meeting Copyright european reforms and public interest

Wikimedia Portugal (WMPT), D3 - Defesa dos Direitos Digitais, ANSOL and BNP (National Library of Portugal) are organizing the meeting Copyright european reforms and public interest, which will be held tomorrow at the BNP Auditorium, with free entry.

Intending to update the copyright legislation for the digital market, this meeting will count on Patrícia Akester, consultant in Intellectual Property, Data Protection and Information Technologies and coordinator of the Intellectual Property Clinic of  SÉRVULO, which will be part of the panel of speakers of the session The exceptions for Education, Research and Libraries (article 4 of Proposal DIR COM 2016-0593). Sérvulo’s consultant will deal with text and data mining (TDM).

Other vital issues will be approached regarding the European reform, such as exceptions for education and libraries, the responsibility of platforms for user content and the future of journalism.
