Sérvulo sponsors Masters in Administrative Law and Public Procurement

SÉRVULO entered into an agreement with the Law Faculty – School of Lisbon – of the Portuguese Catholic University on 11 April, for the purpose of sponsoring the new Masters in Administrative Law and Public Procurement of that University. The sponsorship granted by SÉRVULO will enable the Law Faculty of the Catholic University to strengthen this project in the area of Public Law.

SÉRVULO, known by its close connection to the Academy and being a reference in the area of Public Law, was receptive to the intention of the Law Faculty of the Catholic University to continue this project, which main objective is to prepare its students for the new challenges in the area of Public Procurement, resulting namely from the near entering into force of the new Code of Public Contracts.

Within the scope of the referred agreement, the Law Faculty of the Catholic University will receive annually 10,000 euros for this project and will also count on the lectures of Professor Rui Medeiros, Dr. João Amaral e Almeida and Dr. Lino Torgal, all partners of SÉRVULO and members of the Woking Group instructed by the Government to prepare the new Code of Public Contracts. The agreement further foresees that Sérvulo & Associados will cooperate in the preparation of the programme of the Masters Course.

On the day of signature of the agreement, the Law Faculty of the Catholic University organized a seminar for "Global Analysis of the New Regime of Public Procurement ", within the scope of the Posts-Graduation in Public Procurement Law and Praxis. The debate was monitored by Prof. Maria da Glória Garcia and included the participation of the coordinators of the Posts-Graduation in Public Procurement Law and Praxis, Prof. Rui Medeiros and Dr. João Amaral e Almeida, and of the Director of the Lisbon School of the Law Faculty, Prof. Luís Fábrica.
