José Guilherme Gomes

At SÉRVULO since 2019, José Guilherme Gomes is a senior associate in the Finance and Governance department. He completed an LL.M. in International Business Law from the Católica Global School of Law of the Portuguese Catholic University in 2016. He holds a post-graduate course in Banking, Stock Market and Insurance Law from the Institute for Banking, Stock Market and Insurance Law of the Faculty of Law of Coimbra University, in 2013, where he also concluded his graduation in Law in 2011. José Guilherme Gomes was a legal advisor in the Investigations Department of the Portuguese Securities Market Authority, working mostly in functions related to the coordination of anti-money laundering and terrorism financing supervision where he was designated to represent the Portuguese Securities Market Authority in the Financial Action Task Force (FAFT/GAFI) and in the Working Group that carried out the 2019 Portuguese National Risk Assessment on anti-money laundering and terrorism financing. He was a junior associate at «Serra Lopes, Cortes Martins & Associados» where he completed his traineeship. Since 2018, José Guilherme Gomes is a guest lecturer of Public Finance and Economic and Business Law at the Portuguese Catholic University. He joined the Bar Association in 2016.
