Report on the Extent of Acceptance of Recommendations on Corporate Governance in Portugal

The Association of Portuguese Issuers (AEM - Associação de Empresas Emitentes de Valores Cotados em Mercado) and the Catholic University Lisbon School of Business & Economics presented today the second Report on the Extent of Acceptance of Recommendations on Corporate Governance in Portugal. This event will also present the CATÓLICA-LISBON/AEM calculation of the Index and the Corporate Governance Rating.

This second edition of the study makes possible a comparative analysis with the data resulting from the study prepared last year, revealing the increasing usefulness of the index and the rating of corporate governance and consolidating the importance of the study of best practices in corporate governance.

The presentation will be attended by the President of the AEM Luís Palha da Silva, by the Executive Director of the Association Abel Ferreira Sequeira, and by the coordinators of the team that produced the report, Paulo Câmara and Professors Miguel Athayde Marques and Leonor Modesto. Patricia Cruz, Sofia Thibaut Trocado and Francisco Boavida Salavessa also participated in this study.
