Regulatory blockages must be removed

SÉRVULO IN THE PRESS 29 Oct 2021 in Jornal Económico

Ana Luísa Guimarães was recently elected as Equity Partner at SÉRVULO, and in an interview with Jornal Económico, spoke about the regulatory blockages in the water, sanitation, waste and energy sectors.

Besides coordinating the Mobility area, she also monitors projects in regulated sectors such as water, sanitation, waste and energy. Ana Luísa Guimarães addressed the topic of mobility and its obstacles, stating that "electric mobility is today an unavoidable fact", but that "on the supply side of charging solutions, there are some constraints and aspects that need to be improved", having highlighted that "the global ecosystem would gain if the legislation was strengthened with the clarity of the distinction between public access and private access" and having also pointed out "the very unfavorable context of the municipal framework for the occupation of the municipal public domain by charging stations".

During the interview, the regulatory framework for self-consumption of energy, the articulation of self-consumption and mobility, the circularity of water and the impact of climate change were also addressed.
