Diana Brioso Gonçalves strengthens Sérvulo’s Competition area

Sérvulo has reinforced its position in the European Law and Competition area, led by Miguel Gorjão-Henriques, with the incorporation of Diana Brioso Gonçalves.

We already have one of the main teams at national level and our focus is to continue to strengthen our skills, with qualified lawyers”, highlights Miguel Gorjão-Henriques. “Diana is an excellent lawyer, who is part of Sérvulo's differentiating matrix and her experience and knowledge, along with her human qualities, are a guarantee that this integration will contribute to the consolidation and expansion of our practice area”, adds the Partner.

Associate at PLMJ, in the Competition and European department, in 2020, Diana has developed, in recent years, a significant international career. She was Legal Agent at the Delegation of the European Commission in Mozambique, Consultant to the Competition Commission of Mauritius and South Africa, in Pretoria.
In 2021, she joined projects at the CUTS Institute for Regulation & Competition, in India, and was a consultant for competition authorities in Portuguese-speaking countries. Expert at the BRICS Competition Law and Policy Centre, from February to November 2022, Diana was also a Consultant at CADE, in Brazil, and was a member of the Competition Law group at the World Bank. Currently, she is delegate of the Competition Law Working Group of the UNCTAD-United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.
Graduated in Law from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, in 2011, Diana Brioso Gonçalves has a post-graduation in Competition Law and Economic Regulation. After an internship at the Portuguese Competition Authority, Diana concluded the LL.M. Master of European Law at the College of Europe (Bruges), in 2016, and completed other postgraduate studies in several jurisdictions, such as South Africa and Chile.
