Guilherme Oliveira e Costa participated as Judge in the European Union Law Moot Court

Guilherme Oliveira e Costa, Trainee Lawyer at SÉRVULO, participated as Judge in the European Union Law Moot Court, on 4th December, held at Nova Law School.

This Moot Court, which occurred in the context of the European Union Law course, had the participation of 24 teams in a total of 96 students.

The mock case’s topic was related with a preliminary ruling asked by the Supreme Court of Justice of the Kingdom of Orderly-Brexitland to the European Court of Justice in the joined cases Doug Stamper v. H Cessange/Waterleaks e v. Poodle Inc/Poodle OB.

In discussion were, among others, questions related with the content of the “right to erasure” established in article 17 of the General Data Protection Regulation and the extraterritorial application of this Regulation.
