Miguel Gorjão-Henriques, a partner at SÉRVULO and head of the European and Competition Law department, was elected President of the Portuguese Competition Lawyers Association (CAPDC) on 29 October.
Established in March 2009 by 14 lawyers from 14 law firms, CAPDC brings together competition law specialists and has as its main objective the promotion of the study, knowledge, discussion and dissemination of matters relating to this area of law, from both legal and economic perspectives.
Miguel Gorjão-Henriques, one of the Association’s founders, previously served as President of the Advisory Board and, by virtue of that position, of the General Assembly. He succeeds Joaquim Vieira Peres, a partner at Morais Leitão, as President.
The new Board also includes Ricardo Bordalo Junqueiro, a partner at VdA, as Vice-President, and Tânia Luísa Faria, a partner at Uría Menéndez, as Secretary-General.
