SÉRVULO launches German Desk

NEWS AND EVENTS 25 Jan 2021

Created to provide an integrated response to the needs of companies from German-speaking countries investing in Portugal, as well as Portuguese companies operating in those countries, the SÉRVULO’s German Desk was a natural step on the path of internationalization that the firm has been following in recent years.

With more than 10.5 billion euros invested in the last five years, German companies are responsible for 35,000 jobs in Portugal and Germany is considered the third largest importer of Portuguese goods. To these figures must be added large Swiss and Austrian investments, according to AICEP data. With these figures in mind, it is undeniable that the investment of German companies in the Portuguese market is very significant and requires legal services provided by a multidisciplinary and experienced team, with strong links to the German culture and economy, in order to carry out their projects successfully. This is the main purpose of SÉRVULO’s German Desk formed by Ana Luísa Guimarães, Public and Projects partner, Francisco Boavida Salavessa, Financial & Governance partner and Alberto Saavedra, Senior Associate in the European and Competition areas.

The German Desk also offers legal services at a global level through: (i) the SÉRVULO network LATITUDE?, associated to the Portuguese speaking countries, (ii) the three international networks of law firms to which SÉRVULO belongs (Legalink, Cathay Associates and Roxin Alliance), and (iii) the multiple German-speaking law firms with which SÉRVULO maintains close relations.
