Sérvulo holds the 1st Fintech Talk

NEWS AND EVENTS 22 May 2019

The undeniable possibilities opened by new technologies in banking and capital markets coexist with a number of regulatory challenges brought about, in part, by the ever changing ecosystem. Does the constellation of themes associated with Fintech represent a legal and technological nightmare, or a sea of opportunities to take advantage of?

In order to respond to this and other issues that are on the agenda, SÉRVULO organizes, during the afternoon of May 30, the 1st Fintech Talk. With a cast of keynote speakers from FinTech companies, banking and regulators, SÉRVULO's initiative will discuss the key issues associated with innovation and optimization of financial processes through technology.

The event will begin with the intervention of Filomena Oliveira (CMVM), at the opening of the first session entitled Impact of FinTech on Capital Markets, followed by a first panel moderated by Paulo Câmara (Sérvulo) and composed by João Freire de Andrade (BiG - Banco de Investimento Global), Carlos Almeida (Best Bank), José Luis Lorente (Bird & Bird) and Marta Palmeiro (Pier Partners), in charge of discussing the theme. The second session Banking and technology: a brave new world? will have Ricardo Chaves (SIBS) as keynote speaker, followed by a second panel, moderated by Francisco Mendes Correia (Sérvulo) and composed by João Barros (Pagaqui), Sebastião Lancastre (Easypay) and Diogo Nesbitt (Bankonnect). The third and last session, entitled Transversal Aspects: AML and Personal Data Protection, will have a panel composed of Mónica Ribeiro (Banco BPI), Miguel Jacinto (EuroBic) and Vasco Oliveira (Credirisk), the debate will be moderated by João Carmona Dias and Ana Rita Paínho (both Sérvulo). Hélder Rosalino's intervention (Banco de Portugal) will be closing the event.
