Miguel Gorjão-Henriques to participate in colloquium marking the 40th anniversary of Portugal's accession to the European Union

On 22 October, Miguel Gorjão-Henriques, Partner in SÉRVULO's European and Competition and Life Sciences Department, will participate in the colloquium “Portugal and the CJEU: Revisiting Portuguese Cases in the 40 Years of Accession”, which will take place at the Catholic University of Portugal in Lisbon. The event will offer a reflection on some of the most significant Portuguese cases considered by the Court of Justice of the European Union over the last four decades.

Miguel Gorjão-Henriques will take part in Panel 3, “Internal Market, Competition and Taxation”, where he will address the Portuguese Professional Football League case (Case C-133/24). The panel will also feature presentations by Lúcio Tomé Feteira and Inês Quadros and will be moderated by Rita Leandro Vasconcelos.

Organised by the Catholic Research Centre for the Future of Law and the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Portugal, the colloquium will bring together academics, legal practitioners and experts to revisit landmark cases that have shaped the application and development of European Union law in Portugal.
