SÉRVULO appoints new equity partners and new partners

Sérvulo & Associados' board has approved the promotion of Francisco Boavida Salavessa and Pedro Silveira Borges to equity partners. Alexandra Valpaços and Manuel Henriques have also been promoted to salaried partners.
Commenting on this development in the firm's partnership structure, SÉRVULO's Managing Partner, Manuel Magalhães, stated that it reflects the recognition of the merit, dedication and professional paths of the new equity and salaried partners. At SÉRVULO since 2011, Francisco Boavida Salavessa is part of the Finance and Governance department and has extensive experience in providing legal advice to companies in the financial sector - banking, capital markets and insurance. He has been responsible for advising public entities and representative entities of the financial sector on regulatory and legislative matters in Portugal. The new equity partner has been recognized by clients and international directories for the excellence and quality of his work.
Pedro Silveira Borges, also elected as equity partner, joined the Commercial, Corporate, and M&A department at Sérvulo & Associados in 2021. He has distinguished as a leader in this area, providing legal advice on several M&A transactions in Portugal, as well as providing regular and ongoing legal support to national and international clients. Pedro Silveira Borges has advised on some of the most complex distressed M&A transactions in Portugal and has also provided legal advice to various clients in the areas of Private Equity and Venture Capital. Distinguished as Energy Lawyer of the Year (Forty under 40 Awards, Iberian Lawyer), Pedro Silveira Borges has participated in major mergers and acquisitions in the renewable energy sector, advising fund managers, independent energy producers, and multinationals on the development of renewable energy projects.
Lawyer of the Litigation and Arbitration department since 2015, Alexandra Valpaços has now been promoted to partner. With extensive experience in civil and commercial litigation in courts and arbitration tribunals, particularly in contractual and non-contractual liability cases, Alexandra Valpaços has also been involved in the most significant insolvency and corporate recovery proceedings in Portugal.
Manuel Henriques, a consultant in the Real Estate, Tourism, and Urban Planning department since 2023, has also been promoted to partner. With extensive experience in urbanization and construction, he has advised numerous private entities on land use and urban planning matters, namely in licensing procedures for urban development and tourism, as well as in real estate transactions, including real estate asset audits. Manuel Henriques has been recognized as “a rigorous and innovative lawyer who combines theory with practice to help bring various real estate projects to life.”
