Sérvulo organises Portugal 2020 Seminar in partnership with Hitachi Consulting

NEWS AND EVENTS 18 Jun 2015

On June 25, SÉRVULO and Hitachi Consulting will address the legal structure and the application of the Portugal 2020 programme, as well as the business opportunities associated with it, especially in terms of increasing the competitiveness and internationalisation of Portuguese companies, their sustainability and efficiency in resource management.

The content of the seminar was conceived following a transversal and multidisciplinary perspective, so that it may be useful to effectively guide companies that are interested in applying for the European funds available. With this in mind, some of the topics that will be covered include the framework and the general guidelines of the whole process (Rui Cardona Ferreira), the application procedure, the eligibility of expenses and procedural regularity (Miguel Gorjão-Henriques), followed by the topics of financing through resorting to European Investment Funds (Francisco Boavida Salavessa) and of tax benefits (Diogo Feio). The programme also includes a testimony from PT Inovação, through its IT consultant, Victor Marques, as well as a presentation on innovative technological solutions by Hitachi Consulting.

It should be noted that the Portugal 2020 programme is the name given to the partnership signed between Portugal and the European Commission and which brings together the five European Structural and Investment Funds: ERDF, ESF, CF, EAFRD, and EMFF. The programme defines the practical principles enshrining the economic, social and territorial development policies to be promoted in Portugal between 2014 and 2020.

Under this plan, Portugal will receive €25 billion by 2020, with the main purpose of stimulating growth and job creation. This amount will be allocated within each of the 16 operational, thematic and regional programmes.
