Privatisation and regulation under discussion at international conference in Praia

Sérvulo & Associados and MLA - Menezes, Leite & Associados (Cape Verde) are holding an international conference to discuss privatisations and regulation on March 15 in Praia.
 
With reference to the privatisation agenda promoted by the Cape Verdean government, a group of national and international experts will debate the challenges facing the country in terms of privatisation and regulation, with the aim of boosting the national economy.
 
The opening speech will be given by Alcindo Mota, Secretary of State for Finance. The first round table of the event will be dedicated to Privatisations and will feature the coordinator of the State Business Sector Monitoring Unit (UASE), Sandeney Fernandes, MLA Partner Mário Jorge Menezes and SÉRVULO Managing Partner Manuel Magalhães. The moderator will be Francisco Tavares, advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance and Business Development and Minister of Digital Economy.
 
The second round table will debate the topic of Regulation, bringing together Renato Lima, a specialist in Regulation from the State Business Sector Monitoring Unit (UASE), Cristina Leite, Partner at MLA, and Mark Kirkby, Public Law Partner at SÉRVULO. The discussion will be moderated by João Saúde, also a partner at SÉRVULO.
 
After the round tables, a partnership agreement will be signed between Sérvulo & Associados and MLA - Menezes, Leite & Associados (Cape Verde), which will become part of SÉRVULO LATITUDE⦵ - a multilateral network of partnerships between leading law firms in Portuguese-speaking countries with common roots.
