Rita Lufinha Borges

At SÉRVULO since 2025, she is a partner in the Real Estate, Tourism and Urban Planning department. She holds postgraduate degrees in Corporate Finance (2015) and Telecommunications (2008) and completed her master’s degree in business law in 2000, all from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. She also holds a postgraduate degree in Commercial Law from the Instituto Superior de Gestão, obtained in 1996. Member of the Board of the Portuguese-Dutch Chamber of Commerce. With more than twenty years of professional experience, she was a partner at the law firm Miranda & Associados, where she had been practising since 2007. She was also an associate at the law firm Abreu Advogados between 2002 and 2006. She practised law independently between 1999 and 2002. Her career began at the law firm Avillez Pereira & Associados, where she practised between 1997 and 1999. She joined the Bar Association in 1997.

Relevant Experience

Legal advice on the structuring and execution of real estate projects both national and international, including land access rights and the purchase and sale of properties (individual or integrated into investment projects of various types), due diligence, drafting and negotiation of real estate development and construction contracts, leases (residential and commercial), assignment of contractual positions, among others. Support in urban planning licensing procedures and issuing legal opinions on real estate matters, working in different sectors (such as tourism, energy & natural resources, infrastructures, agriculture) and jurisdictions.

Experience in the incorporation and restructuring of companies, including mergers and acquisitions, drafting of articles of association and shareholders' agreements, support to corporate bodies, conducting due diligence and negotiating commercial contracts.
