 Ana Rita Paínho and Ana Mira Cordeiro, respectively partner and consultant in SÉRVULO's TMT and IP departments, are the authors of the Portugal chapter in the guide "Artificial Intelligence 2025", published by Chambers.

 In this guide the authors explore the current legal landscape for Artificial Intelligence in Portugal, with a particular focus on the upcoming implementation of the EU AI Act and its expected national developments. They also address how Portuguese legislation may complement or even go beyond the European framework, and examine the challenges around high-risk AI systems, liability, and regulatory oversight.
