Mariana Costa Pinto, Lawyer, and Maria Almeida Garrett, Trainee Lawyer, both integrating the SÉRVULO’s Life Sciences department, are the authors of the chapter on Portugal - Trends and Developments, in the Life Sciences Guide 2022, published by Chambers.

The lawyers analyse the reality of the Life Sciences market, with special focus on current trends and developments. The authors observe the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the health sector and the obligation to keep up with the exponential growth of industrialization and technologies in the sector, concluding that Portugal needs to implement strategic measures in the area of Life Sciences.
