Daniel Santos Almeida
At SÉRVULO since 2025, Daniel Santos Almeida is an associate in the Public Law department. He holds a Master's degree in Law from 2025, a Postgraduate degree in Energy Law from 2019, and a Postgraduate degree in Public Procurement Law and Practice from 2018, all from the Faculty of Law of the Portuguese Catholic University (Lisbon School). He graduated in Law from the Faculty of Law of the New University of Lisbon in 2017. Before joining SÉRVULO, he was an associate lawyer at Gama Glória between 2024 and 2025, a legal advisor in the Office of the Minister for the Environment and Climate Action in the XXIII Constitutional Government of Portugal between 2023 and 2024, and a lawyer at Abreu Advogados between 2019 and 2023, where he also completed his professional internship. He joined the Bar Association in 2022.
Relevant Experience
Experience in Public Law matters, namely in Administrative Law (both Procedural and Substantive), particularly in Energy Law and Environmental Law, with a specific focus on the waste sector.
Preparation of legal information for public and private entities, notably in the fields of Energy and Environmental Law.
Advising private operators in the context of various licensing procedures before different public authorities, with particular emphasis on renewable energy production and consumption projects, as well as waste management projects.
Specialised practice in administrative litigation, representing private entities in disputes before the Administrative and Tax Courts, as well as in civil litigation relating to expropriation proceedings before the Judicial Courts.
