Miguel Gorjão-Henriques launches new European Law section in the Portuguese Bar Association Bulletin
SÉRVULO PUBLICATIONS 28 Jul 2026 in Código Aberto, Boletim da Ordem dos Advogados
The Portuguese Bar Association Bulletin has launched a new section entirely dedicated to European Law, with a particular focus on European Union Law. This initiative stems from a partnership between APDE – the Portuguese Association of European Law and the Portuguese Bar Association, with the aim of bringing lawyers and legal practitioners closer to key issues of EU Law and promoting a better understanding of matters that have a direct impact on businesses and citizens alike.
The first article in this new section, entitled “Preliminary References and Cooperation Between Courts”, was written by Miguel Gorjão-Henriques, Partner in SÉRVULO’s European & Competition and Life Sciences Departments and Vice-President of APDE, and has been published in the latest edition of Código Aberto, the Portuguese Bar Association’s bulletin.
The new section seeks to promote the dissemination and understanding of key European Union Law topics within the Portuguese legal community through the analysis of case law developments and issues of practical relevance.
