The XXI Government and the XIII Legislature: continuity or break in the governing system?

ACADEMIA 26 Jan 2016

The conference "The XXI Government and the XIII Legislature: continuity or break in the governing system?" («O XXI Governo e a XIII Legislatura: Continuidade ou Ruptura do Sistema de Governo?») took place on January 20 at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. The debates were aimed at investigating whether the recent initiatives that led to the formation of the XXI Constitutional Government can still be made compatible with the system of government of the Portuguese Constitution or whether they implied a constitutional alteration.

Pedro Fernández Sánchez was one of the guest speakers, and was part of a panel made up of other luminaries of the Portuguese legal landscape, such as Jorge Miranda, Vital Moreira, Carlos Blanco de Morais, Luís Pereira Coutinho, Pedro Lomba, Rui Ramos, Joaquim Aguiar and José Ribeiro and Castro.
